You work through four stages: Validate, Establish, Launch and Operate. The plan covers eight departments, so you can see the work beyond the part of the business you know best. Your business facts, legal structure and life events determine which tasks apply.

Each task explains why you need it, what to have ready and how to do it. Steps link to sources, with time and cost information to help you plan. Guidance was checked against official UK sources in October 2026.

Rules choose the tasks, schedule repeating work and check gates. The AI guide helps with research, questions and drafts using your own OpenAI API key. It flags where a solicitor should review. Your books stay in your accounting software. Bizwise holds the plan, decisions and reviews.
